It's in demand
Occupying 161 sq km from the shores of Gulf St Vincent to the Para Escarpment and the foothills of the Mt Lofty Ranges, Salisbury is growing and changing.
Since first white settlement in 1848, and particularly after World War II Salisbury has developed into a city of 121,000 people.
Defence, electronics, technology, manufacturing, distribution and warehousing head its business list, making it a vibrant contributor to the State's economy.
The City Council says development approvals and investment are worth $210-$240 million year for the expansion of the business sector.
One of the reasons is the availability of quality land, both for residential and industrial development. The council says it has enough industrial land available for the next 30 years.
By 2016 Council expects more than 135,000 people to be living in the city.
